Frequently asked questions
Is the QR code generated privately?
Yes. The code is drawn entirely in your browser — the text or URL you encode is never uploaded to any server.
What is error correction and which level should I choose?
Error correction lets a QR code still scan when part of it is damaged or obscured. L recovers about 7%, M 15%, Q 25% and H 30%. Use higher levels for printed codes or when adding a logo; M is a good default.
Can I download the QR code?
Yes. You can save it as a PNG raster image or as a scalable SVG, which stays sharp at any print size.
Why did my QR code get denser?
More characters and higher error-correction levels require a larger grid of modules. Shorten the text or lower the error-correction level to get a simpler, easier-to-scan code.
Do these QR codes expire?
No. A QR code is just an image that encodes your text directly, so it works forever and there is no tracking or redirect in between — what you encode is exactly what a scanner reads.
